1. Introduction
NetBridge Community PBX (“NetBridge”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a community-operated PBX platform provided strictly for laboratory, testing, and experimental purposes.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By accessing or using NetBridge Community PBX, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
2. Scope of Use
NetBridge Community PBX is not intended for commercial use. Services must not be used for commercial, business, or revenue-generating projects. The service is provided on an experimental and best-effort basis only.
3. Jurisdiction and Applicable Law
NetBridge Community PBX is situated in Victoria, Australia. All users agree to comply with the laws of the State of Victoria and all applicable Commonwealth laws, including privacy and telecommunications legislation, as well as any additional laws in their own location.
4. Call Handling and Recording
NetBridge Community PBX does not record calls by default. Calls will only be recorded where this is clearly stated prior to the call being bridged. Users who record calls are solely responsible for notifying all parties as required under Australian laws. NetBridge accepts no responsibility for unlawful call recording conducted by end users.
5. Information We Collect
In accordance with APP 3, we may collect and store the following information:
- Full name
- Mobile phone number
- Email address
- Discord username
- Services or integrations linked to your account
We only collect information reasonably necessary for the operation and administration of the service.
6. Use of Personal Information
In accordance with APP 6, we use personal information solely for purposes including account creation, operation and maintenance, authentication, and service-related communications. We do not use personal information for marketing or commercial profiling.
7. Disclosure of Personal Information
NetBridge does not intentionally disclose personal information to third parties except where required or authorised by law, including lawful requests from police, court orders, or legally binding notices. Any disclosure is strictly limited to what is legally required.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Users acknowledge that no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Access and Correction
Users may request access to, or correction of, their personal information where reasonable and lawful. Requests can be made using the contact details listed below.
10. Data Retention
Personal information is retained only for as long as necessary to operate the service or meet legal obligations. Information may be deleted when an account is closed or the service is discontinued.
11. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon publication. Continued use of NetBridge Community PBX constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
